Leather briefcase used by Charles Ulm. According to his secretary, Ellen Rogers, Ulm used the briefcase during each flight, from the flight to Perth in August 1928, until December 1934. It was left in America and sent to Ulm’s wife with his other belongings, and the briefcase may well have carried the autobiographical notes he made while travelling to England. Ellen Rogers collection, National Museum of Australia.
